About Graetz problem

The Graetz problem is a linear convection/diffusion equation that arises in the modelisation of blood vessels and heat exchangers. It exhibits a translation invariance in one direction, turning a 3 dimensional PDE into a 2+1 dimensional evolution PDE. We discuss about resolution method and shape optimization methods that use the translation invariance to speed up the resolution of the problem.
