Seminar Laboratoire

17/04/2025 - 14:00 Hadrien Cambazard (Université Grenoble Alpes) IMAG 106

In this presentation, we will attempt to address the societal impacts of industrial thinking (transformation of work, the organisation of society, our environment, etc.) by linking them with the tools of applied mathematics (in particular Operations Research). The aim is to reconnect the teaching of a scientific discipline based on applied mathematics with its use and meaning in society. We will try to illustrate this analysis with major applications of OR to better understand what we are contributing to by implementing it.

The summary is offered in the form of an online teaching aid and a reading workshop for students. The aim is to help us (teachers and students) understand how we got here.

The reading workshop will be open to interested parties who have seen the presentation at a later date.
