The PDE group @ LJK is trying to develop an activity around mathematical problems in solid state physics.
These include :
light/matter interaction in systems of quantum dots (B. Bidegaray)
probing material with evanescent waves (B. Bidegaray, F. Triki)
stress-induced instabilities in the growth of thin cristalline films (E.B., Morgan Brassel)
modeling vicinal surfaces beyond facetting (E. B., O. Pierre-Louis, M. Tilioua)
