Research themes and Teams

The D.A.T.A. Department gathers researchers in several fiels including probability, statistics, financial mathematics, signal and image processing. The department is stuctured into six teams:

  • ASAR (Applied Statistic And) Reliability
  • MISTIS Modelling and inference of complex and structured stochastic systems (INRIA team)
  • IPS Inference for stochastic processes
  • DAO Optimization and learning for data science
  • SVH Statistics for life and human sciences
  • Statistical Learning, Machine Learning
  • Massive Data

Highlights

The department is organizing the Statlearn workshop in Grenoble, April 2nd and 3rd, 2015 with the financial support of the Labex Persyval-Lab.

The department is organizing the 4th R meeting in Grenoble from June, 24th--26th, 2015.

ASAR team is the principal investigator of the ANR projet AMMSI, march 2012-february 2016.

Interdisciplinary collaborations

Our teams have collaborations with the Laboratoire d'étude des Transferts en Hydrologie et Environnement (LTHE), Institut de Planétologie et d'Astrophysique de Grenoble (IPAG), the Laboratoire d'Ecologie Alpine (LECA) and the Institut des Neurosciences de Grenoble (GIN).

They used to work with industrial companies such as CEA, EDF R&D, Schneider Electric, ST Microelectronics, Thales Avionics, Xerox, ...
