Development of the spiral structure using a different set of
functions.
In the animation we have suppressed the time independent
average
vorticity represented by the zeroth harmonic in the fourier
coefficients
to better visualize the roll-up of the vorticity sheets. The images
below
shows that, although the pure spiral displays interesting properties,
it
is small versus the stationary part.
The animation is calculated at every time unit between 5 and
25.
The peaks at t=5 approaches 0.6. At t=25 they mount only to about 0.04.
This spiral seems to be turning around a limiting circle,
whereas
the original spirals has the origin as turning point.
