Assimilation of Lagrangian data in the Black Sea.

Argo program started in 2000 is a global array of 3,000 free-drifting profiling floats that measures the temperature and salinity of the upper 2000 m of the ocean. We are intending to develop a performant method of assimilation of the Lagrangian data provided by Argo floats into an ocean models. Starting from the Black Sea model, kindly provided by Gennady Korotaev from the Marine Hydrophysical Institute, Sevastopol, Ukraine, we are trying to apply nudging method to this model.

Simulation of a fleet of 25 floats in the Black Sea during 3 years.
