FIGAL : Reliability and Random Geometry
The FIGAL team gathers LJK researchers working on Applied Probability and Statistics for Reliability and Random Geometry. Our common tools are random processes, mainly point processes.
In both thematics, our objectives are:
- - building and studying random models
- - performing statistical inference for these models
- - measuring the goodness-of-fit of these models
- - implementing the associated software development
Our research ranges from theory to applications in the fields of biology, neuroscience, engineering, physics and signal processing.
: applied probability, applied statistics, random geometry, reliability, maintenance, point processes, Gibbs processes, statistics of stochastic processes, statistical physics, percolation, phase transition, random graphs, spatial statistics, fractional and long memory processes, classification, discrimination, dimension reduction, information theory, Bayesian statistics, ageing, competing risks, recurrent events, graphical models in dependability, teaching probability and statistics.
