ASAR: Applied Statistics And Reliability

ASAR works on applied probability and statistics, based on practical application cases mainly issued from reliability problems.

Our objectives are:
  • - building and studying random models
  • - performing statistical inference for these models
  • - measuring the goodness-of-fit of these models
  • - implementing the associated software development

Our research ranges from applications to theory. As well as reliability, the team members also work on applications in medecine, biology, engineering, actuarial science...

ASAR takes over part of the activity of the former research team FIGAL.

Keywords: applied probability, applied statistics, reliability, maintenance, point processes, statistics of stochastic processes, Bayesian statistics, ageing, competing risks, recurrent events, graphical models in dependability, spatial statistics, teaching probability and statistics, actuarial science.

Events
